This Kindle
is ideal for reading on the go. I wouldn't get the larger size if you like to carry it around a lot. Pdf support is ok, though navigating pdf files is quirky at best. Sometimes paging back is way too slow, not just on pdf. Paging forward is a bit faster, though it could definitely be improved.
Some interaction metaphors are a bit off, for example: you can't bulk add books to a collection; The 5-way is a bit clunky and you will hit the 'back' key a few times by accident if you have big fingers like me.
The lack of a numeric row on the keyboard is hard to explain, the space is right there, just a 0-9 top row on the keyboard would make entering numbers much less annoying. Oh, and the lack of ePub support is a bit annoying too, you have to circumvent it with software that converts .epub to .mobi Other than that, the Kindle
is a superb book reader, the e-ink screen is sharp and glare-free (well, close enough), and the battery life is just out of this world; Look forward to not having to charge it for weeks if you leave wireless off most of the time.
For serious readers, I wouldn't take a second look at any other e-readers. I've had mine for a month and already 1000+ pages read!
